MK-FS48 FreeStyle Rigging Kit

Rigging the new Kino Flo LED tubes to, well, just about anything just got easier.  Matthews' custom MK-FS48 FreeStyle Rigging Kit is designed for Kino Flo's FreeStyle 4 LED system.  Integrate the Kino Flo FreeStyle 4 LED tubes into any set or create a quick “light sabre” setup with any available grip head and light stand with our new rigging system.

The incorporated aluminum spinal column on the FreeStyle 4 LED tube is the main rigging point. It provides an unobstructed illumination angle of 300 degrees.  The MK-FS48 line of accessories complements the FreeStyle 4 LED tube by mounting flush along the aluminum spine, not obstructing the lighting angle created by Kino Flo.  The Black Type-3 Hard Anodizing coating process prevents errant reflections and makes them the most durable and invisible mounting option available.

Expanding the mounting options, the Spine Mount Coupler (included in the kit) enables 90 degree mounting and unlimited unique angles. It’s a tools-free system thanks to the built in thumbwheels and wing knobs.  The MK-FS48 accessories are strategically knurled for stronger grip requiring less torque for tightening. They are ergonomically formulated for one-handed use.

Whether mounting  an individual Kino Flo FreeStyle 4 LED tube or a built out lighting rig of tubes, the MK-FS48 Spine Mount Rod 4” is the critical mounting piece when connecting it all to a stand or structure.  One side slides into the aluminum spine on the FreeStyle 4 LED tube and the other side, the 4” rod, will fit in every size of grip head.

It’s a tools-free system thanks to the built in thumbwheel that secures the mount to the spine.  MK-FS48 accessories are strategically knurled for stronger grip requiring less torque for tightening. They are ergonomically formulated for one-handed use.

Connecting Kino Flo FreeStyle 4 LED tubes in a row or at an angle requires the MK-FS48 Spine Mount Coupler. One side attaches to the aluminum spine of the Kino Flo FreeStyle 4 LED tube and the other side has two 3/8” female receivers.  Attach the Spine Mount Coupler to the aluminum spine on the FreeStyle 4 tube, tighten with the knurled thumbwheel, and connect via a Matthews 3/8” Rod to another tube with another MK-FS48 Spine Mount Coupler. Continue doing this until you have the design you want and then use the MK-FS48 Spine Mount Rod 4” to attach your lighting rig to a grip head.
